My name is Wait Aumann and I am a Pediatric Hematologist/Oncology at the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of  Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and an assistant professor of Pediatrics at Emory University. Originally hailing from Baltimore, MD (Go Orioles and Ravens), I have slowly travelled south having completed medical school at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Washington D.C., followed by a Pediatrics Residency and Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC. 

In addition to taking care of children with cancer, I also run a basic science research lab investigating underlying mechanisms of pediatric leukemia development as well as investigating new treatments for difficult to treat leukemias. 

I first met Limitless’s co-founder Push when I was the camp doctor at Camp Sunshine just outside of Atlanta, and after hearing about the vision of the Limitless Foundation, I was honored to be asked to be the medical director. 

Outside of medicine, I am married and have two very active children who keep me busy between dance recitals, baseball tournaments, and swim meets.
